At Sense Massage Therapy, we acknowledge our responsibility in mitigating the impact of our operations on the local, regional, and global environment. In line with this, our head office now utilises solar power and battery storage systems to diminish reliance on the grid, particularly during peak times. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint.
Further strengthening our dedication, most of our administrative team, and all of the management, have undergone comprehensive training in Carbon Literacy and are accredited by the Carbon Literacy Trust. This knowledge empowers our team to make informed decisions and advocate for environmentally friendly practices within our organisation.
Our management team remains steadfast in their commitment to continuous improvements in environmental performance and the prevention of pollution wherever feasible. An integral part of our corporate environmental strategy is the minimisation of emissions caused by unnecessary transportation. To this end, we strive to match our customers with therapists located as near as possible to the service site.
To minimise waste and promote recycling, Sense encourages its therapists to:
- Eschew disposable wet-wipes made from non-recyclable plastic.
- Utilise antibacterial spray alongside PEFC or FSC certified paper towels.
- Carry multi-use water bottles to customer visits, reducing plastic waste.
We are also committed to leveraging modern communication technologies to reduce the need for physical postage, thus decreasing the consumption of fossil fuels associated with transportation.
Through these collective efforts, Sense Massage Therapy is taking a proactive stance in fostering a sustainable future.
